A Bit About Me

In case you missed it, I’m Kimmarie! A Southern California girl born and raised. My husband of 25 years and I have two boys in college and are now Empty Nesters (where did the time go)? My husband works in an industry where social media is not permitted, so you won’t see his face on here and likely not my camera shy boys’ either (trust me they’re amazing). You will however see Rigby, he’s my four legged sidekick, he does everything with me, and yes he too has his own Instagram account.

The beach is my happy place, the sight, sound, smell, and taste of it! I am a self proclaimed Sunset Chaser with thousands of photos to prove it! My family has my heart, chips and salsa are my weakness, coffee my addiction (along with collecting Rae Dunn mugs to drink it from), traveling my passion, nice hotels my fascination, dogs my soft spot, clean living my necessity, Jesus my Savior.

Prior to becoming a mom I was an elementary school teacher, which I loved; but loved being home with my boys even more, and I never went back.

Decorating, entertaining, interior design, all things HOME and homebody is my love language! As a kid I would help my mom decorate for every season and we moved the furniture around constantly. My dad once said my room shrunk by a foot on each wall because I painted it so many times.

I love to throw a party and host guests in our home. I hope this blog space and my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/gracefulhomeandhound/ can be a place I can host you.
